COMDEX 2001, LAS VEGAS, NV, - NOVEMBER 12, 2001 - Equilibrium, a leading provider of automated imaging solutions, today announced the availability of MediaRich™ 2.0 for corporations to dynamically generate, update and deliver visual content to Internet-enabled devices. New features in version 2.0 include key advances in data integration for XML, ODBC and Metadata sources, increased font rendering capabilities, support for Unicode international character sets, ICC color profiles and enhanced Photoshop® 6.0 support.

MediaRich is server-based imaging software that automates image production and enables the dynamic delivery of images to virtually any output device. - Data Integration - Support for data description languages (XML), and ODBC-compliance allows MediaRich to integrate with different environments and applications such as digital asset management, and e-commerce applications.
- Text-To-Graphics Capabilities - MediaRich now supports Unicode international character sets for both TrueType® and PostScript® formats. These new text-rendering capabilities allow dynamic localization of all navigation and text fonts on multinational Web sites for global corporations.
- Color Management - MediaRich has the ability to load and save ICC color profiles associated with source images for accurate color rendering output across various Internet-enabled devices.
- Enhanced Photoshop Layer Support - MediaRich provides support for many of the new features found in the Photoshop 6.0 file format, including layer sets, selection tools, and blending modes. By providing this level of support MediaRich will further streamline the image production process.
- Performance and Workflow Improvements - With ECMA Script compliance and advanced image processing capabilities, including the ability to reuse dynamically generated images within multiple MediaScripts and enhancements to the zoom/pan functionality, developers will see significant performance and workflow improvements.
