Equilibrium MediaRich Image Server Selected by Microsoft to Dynamically Create Sales Demonstrations for .NET Enterprise Server Solutions
Equilibrium® MediaRich™ Image Server to Streamline the Development of Custom Prototypes that Integrate Microsoft's .NET Enterprise Servers for Internet Businesses
CONTENT WORLD, SAN JOSE, CA. - May 14, 2002 - Equilibrium, a leading provider of automated imaging solutions and majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc. (Nasdaq: CMGI), today announced that MediaRich Image Server has been selected by Microsoft Corp., the worldwide leader in software, services and Internet technologies, to dynamically prepare and deliver custom prototypes that demonstrate Microsoft .NET Enterprise Server solutions to their partners and customers.
MediaRich is server-based imaging software that generates, updates and delivers dynamic visual content and navigation to the Web and smart devices. By integrating MediaRich Image Server with Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 and Content Management Server, Microsoft's field representatives are able to set up templates to customize the look and feel of their server product demonstrations, automating image processing tasks normally done off-line by a team of technical resources. MediaRich has dynamic imaging features such as zoom, pan, colorize, resize, mix and match, font generation and compositing. MediaRich dramatically reduces production costs and accelerates time-to-market for delivering rich visual content.
"Equilibrium MediaRich Image Server streamlines the way we demonstrate our dynamic Internet presence solutions built on Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers," said Eric Swift, lead product manager for .NET Enterprise Servers at Microsoft. "Our field representatives can use MediaRich Image Server to quickly create, update and 'skin' the look and feel of their online presentations without technical assistance."
As an independent software vendor, Equilibrium is working with certified system integrators to provide training and support for integrating MediaRich Image Server with Commerce Server 2002 and Microsoft's solutions for the Internet marketplace. The following important factors and uncertainties, among others, could cause actual results to differ materially from those described in these forward-looking statements: MediaRich may not successfully interoperate with the technologies and products of third parties; Equilibrium's growth depends upon continued and increased demand for and market acceptance of its offerings; and increased competition and technological changes in the markets in which Equilibrium competes.
