Cronos Adds Dynamic Imaging Component to Solution Offerings by Integrating Equilibrium MediaRich for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and Content Management Server
MICROSOFT .NET CONVENTION, BRUSSELS, BELGIUM—JANUARY 30, 2003—Equilibrium, a global provider of rich-media servers for the enterprise, today announced that Cronos Group, a leading provider of integrated e-business solutions, has joined Equilibrium's Partner Program to provide consulting services for Equilibrium® MediaRich™ Image Server for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and Content Management Server. The dynamic imaging integration dramatically reduces the time required to create a robust Internet presence, improves business efficiency and provides rich media capabilities.
Equilibrium MediaRich is server-based templating software that automates image production and enables the dynamic delivery of visual assets to the Web, print media and smart devices. By integrating MediaRich with SharePoint Portal Server, Cronos will enable their customers to search, preview, zoom, modify and deploy one or more images directly in a familiar self-service environment. When MediaRich is integrated with Content Management Server, Cronos can automate image processing functions when defined and incorporated directly into CMS templates. As a Web page is viewed, MediaRich dynamically generates and deploys all required variations from the original source image. MediaRich eliminates manual file conversions, optimizations and modifications to minimize the number of images to create, manage and store.
