Need
OUP wanted a solution that would automate their current manual process of image production. As a DeBabelizer customer, OUP was familiar with Equilibrium's automated image processing expertise. OUP wanted to augment their current workflow, which consisted of manually scanning all book covers and storing them in a Canto® Cumulus® database. They wanted to reduce the steps needed to get these scanned images prepared for multi-channel delivery.
Solution
OUP integrated Equilibrium MediaRich Image Server with their Cumulus media asset management system and their Windows IIS environment. OUP can now automatically acquire the original files from the database, generate thumbnail and image zooms for previewing, and dynamically deploy these images outside the firewall to their business partners in the specified formats and dimensions. |
