- Why isn´t DeBabelizer accepting my serial number?
If you are installing DeBabelizer Pro on Windows NT 4.0, please be sure that you are logged on as the "Administrator" when installing and entering the DeBabelizer serial number for the first time. During installation and initialization DeBabelizer must write your information to the system Registry. Please ask your Systems Administrator/Network Specialist for assistance in logging on as the Administrator.
Note: If you are using Windows 95/98 and are encountering difficulties installing DeBabelizer, try copying the Install folder from the Equilibrium DeBabelizer Pro CD to your local hard drive. Next, remove the CD, reboot your computer in Safe Mode, and try installing and initializing the software from your local drive. Also, please be aware that there are no zeros in our serial numbers, only the letter "o", and you must enter the dashes.
- How can I tell if my product is registered?
A product is registered when we receive the registration information via mail or via registration at our website. Please check your DeBabelizer box for the registration card. Until we receive the registration for your copy, we cannot supply technical support services. If it was purchased and registered to another company and sold/transferred to yours, we will need an acknowledgement from the original company that your company is now the sole owner of the product. If you think you already registered, contact Equilibrium Customer Service and ask if you are in the registration database. You will be asked for your DeBabelizer serial number, your name, and/or the company name it was registered under, if applicable. You will then be informed whether you are registered. If you are not registered and cannot find the registration card or use the email registration, we can also accept a copy of the DeBabelizer manual cover, disk(s), and a photocopy of the receipt or invoice (from the vendor), as alternate proof of purchase. You may fax these along with your name, company name, address, phone number, fax number, product serial number, and version number.
- What is the latest version of DeBabelizer Pro?
The current version for Windows is DeBabelizer Pro 5.
- What are the minimum system requirements for Windows users?
- 486 or equivalent processor (Pentium recommended)

- Why doesn't my serial number work?

- Why won't the DeBabelizer Pro 6 registration process let me register?
In order for the registration to be valid, all fields in the dialog must be filled out, even if they don't apply to you. Make sure that all fields are filled before you try to submit the registration information again. If you are still having problems, call our Customer Service department at 415-332-4343.
- I have mistakenly registered my copy of DeBabelizer Pro 6 on the wrong machine(s) and, now that I'm trying to install it on the right one, I'm getting a "too many registrations" message. What do I do?
Send the information your registration information, including the serial number, to our technical support staff via email (macsupport@equilibrium.com) and we will clear the registrations in our database. This will allow you to
"re-register" the application on the correct machine.
- What is the latest version of Equilibrium DeBabelizer Pro for the Mac, and how can I find out what version I have?
The current version of Equilibrium DeBabelizer for the Macintosh is DeBabelizer Pro 6.0. To determine which version you are using, ctrl-click or right-click the program's icon and choose File > Get Info; the version number appears in the information window. You can also view this information with DeBabelizer open by choosing About DeBabelizer… from the DeBabelizer Pro 6 menu.
- What's the difference between DeBabelizer LE and DeBabelizer Pro 6?
DeBabelizer Pro 6 has many tools for image manipulation and processing, and DeBabelizer LE provides a limited sub-set of the DeBabelizer Pro features and is designed for file translation and simple bit-depth reduction. DeBabelizer LE does not include any batch processing and workflow features; it is intended for working with one image at a time. DeBabelizer Pro 6 handles multi-image file formats, has the capacity to update and use the latest readers and writers, and has been optimized for OS X.
- What are the minimum system requirements for running DeBabelizer Pro 6?
