SPTechCon, Boston Massachusetts October 21^st, 2010 – Equilibrium® a software and hosted services company that specializes in helping enterprise clients of all sizes to manage, monetize and mobilize content, announced MediaRich® ECM for SharePoint 4.2, Equilibrium’s seamlessly integrated media asset management and content visualization system for all versions of SharePoint, has added a revolutionary “Instant-On” capability. Instant-on automatically creates thumbnail and multiple views of any image, video and audio file while ingesting metadata in any document library web part with a click of a button. Static documents and images can be viewed in detail with Unizoom™, Equilibrium’s proprietary universal zoom and pan technology requiring no special plug-ins, provides viewing of any file on any browser or smart devices from within SharePoint.  For video and audio, Equilibrium’s new Silverlight streaming player is utilized in combination with MediaRich to provide audio/video proxy creation and management enabling a small proxy, or the entire video to be shown in one of 4 pre-set resolutions. All of the visualization functionality is now available seamlessly in SharePoint search, including video playback, audio review and Unizoom for all documents and other media types.

In 4.2 the media asset management capabilities have been expanded to enable batch metadata enhancement during any upload into SharePoint, providing the ability to append or replace metadata into any field in large groups of files during the upload process.  New features include, forms based authentication support and the addition of the MediaRich content type, centralizing extracted IPTC, EXIF and Adobe XMP metadata which is saved into the SQL Server.

MediaRich ECM for SharePoint version 4.2 is available for Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Foundation, SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 all from a single installer, MediaRich is fully compatible with remote blob storage systems including Metalogix  StoragePoint and can be expanded to meet even the largest enterprises and any number of files.
