SAUSALITO, CA, April 7, 2008 – Equilibrium®, a software company that specializes in helping enterprise clients of all sizes to manage, monetize and mobilize content, today announced the appointment of Brett G. Durrett to its Board of Directors. With this appointment, Equilibrium continues to strengthen its Board and further solidify the company as a leader in scalable media processing software.

Mr. Durrett holds more than 20 years of experience and success in the computer and wireless industries including production services, engineering, design, IT and technical operations.  He will be providing strategic advice regarding scaling Equilibrium’s new products and services for the Web 2.0 environment and beyond.

As the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at IMVU, an online social network where adults and teens meet new people in 3-D, Mr. Durrett leads the engineering and technical operations teams for the company.  IMVU ranks among the 1,000 busiest, high traffic sites in the web space according to Alexa, and receives approximately 3.9 million visitors and 215 million page views per month according to Quantcast. Prior to IMVU, Mr. Durrett served as Director of Engineering, Vice President of Operations and General Manager for the virtual world at There.com. He also co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Asylum Entertainment, a video game development company.
